by Anna Rotty
Poll Work is a collection of photographs by Anna Rotty of polling places and poll workers that make San Francisco elections work behind the scenes.
In a time where election rejection and misinformation have spread to the point of divisive violence within the United States, we wanted to point attention to the folks participating in civic logistics on the ground level. In San Francisco, it takes thousands of individuals working across 588 polling places, coming together from all parts of the community, to operate an election. This book is meant to document as well as honor those who make elections happen.
